'Wrong address', a lame reason for denying recognition of Malaysian Airlines flight attendants' Union?

Malaysian Airlines new operator, Malaysian Airlines Berhad, delays recognition of trade union, for what I consider a petty reason - WRONG ADDRESS, and the Director General of Industrial Relations sadly agrees, whereby this was communicated to the Union vide a letter dated 1/3/2016. The application for recognition on 11/9/2015, and about SIX(6) Months, they say 'Sorry Wrong Address - Please Apply Again?'

On a 8/9/2015 document - the address of MAB was changed - see that official document, signed by the Company Secretary of MAB..

And NUFAM put in their application about 3 days later - note the address of MAB used in that letter was the latest address..

Reasons given in the DGIR letter dated 1/3/2016 for not proceeding to accord recognition

"Investigation revealed that the the application for recognition was received by Khazanah Nasional Berhad on 18/9/2015, and not by Malaysian Airline Berhad"

Comment:- NUFAM's letter was addressed to Malaysia Airlines Berhad(MAB) - Why did Khazanah receive it in the first place? The address was correct, so MAB should have received it. Either way, Khazanah is the 100% owner of MAB....

The 2nd point made was that it should be served on the registered address or principal place of business by AR Registered..

Comment: - Well, it was sent by AR Registered, and NUFAM did a search before that to get the correct address - and that is where it was sent...

*** Note the documents enclosed/pasted here were obtained from NUFAM.

Comment:-  Look at the delay - even if they received on 18/9/2013, could they not have just informed NUFAM to send it to the correct address...but Khazanah and/or MAB just kept quite..

See earlier post:-

55 DAYS - DG of Industrial Relations inefficient or just delaying Unions in Malaysian Airlines?

Fong Khei Por, Malaysia's DGIR, be more efficient and act speedily about Union recognition in Malaysian Airlines?

Malaysian Airlines Flight Attendants and NUFAM - No Happy New Year?

67 Groups :- Government-Owned MAB, the new Malaysian Airlines Operator, Must Recognize Unions and Not Deny Freedom of Association.

FREEDOM OF ASSOCIATION - SHAMEFUL THAT MALAYSIAN GOVERNMENT UNREASONABLY DELAYING RECOGNITION National Union of Flight Attendants of Malaysia(NUFAM) AS THE UNION REPRESENTING FLIGHT ATTENDANTS IN MALAYSIA.

PETTY REASONS SHOULD NEVER BE USED TO DENY UNION RIGHTS...
